The brief for this commission was to design and build a road worthy eco friendly mobile home.

The caravan is built onto an Ifor Williams trailer. It is made mainly from wood using environmentally sound materials such as F.S.C. timber, sheeps wool insulation and finished with natural products.

It is designed to function 'off grid' with its own rain water harvesting and solar panels. The interior is clad in native Western Red Cedar this has a wonderful colour and grain, Cedar also gives off a pleasant aroma. Their is a sky light for ‘star gazing’ and windows on 3 sides giving plenty of natural light with a set of double doors enabling excellent access. The caravan is heated by a wood burning stove.

There are many different configurations possibilities for the interior, this has a kitchen at one end, but can be a blank canvas to fill with any requirements.

The caravan has toured the U.K. and Europe, It is now stationed most of the time on the Spain/Portugal border with its very proud owner.
